Amp’d Up

Me with my Fodera, 36" scale 6 string "Owl Bass"...one of a kind bass ( her sister is below ) and my bass amp..."KRONOS"...made to look like a '65 Kustom amp, which I used to stare at in catalogs as a kid before I played. They came in 7 colors...I loved the absurdity of THREE 15s...this cabinet was made for me by Epifani, right across the hall from the Fodera headquarters. They're actually 3 separate speaker boxes in one big cabinet...substantially taller and deeper than an original Kustom. It's the only amp I've played through that won't break up when I whack the open B string with octave dividers, synth and distortion pedals going through it.

The head has a 1,200 watt Crown and a Fodera preamp. I actually toured all over the US with it. I had a guy who made boat covers do the gold sparkle tuck and roll and my brother machined the polished metal face plates and fake hot rod exhausts just like the old Kustoms. You HAVE to dress up to play that stuff!!
